ABOUT THE WORK
One figure. More than one way of seeing.
Yellow and red meet turquoise, green and black. Lines lead the eye through the eyes, mouth and profile, allowing the portrait to be read in several ways.
Flat areas of colour do not mean a smooth surface. The detail photograph shows traces of working with paint and the physical texture of the painting.
