PAINTINGS AND THEIR STORIES

Paintings.
And their
stories.

I create from what stays with me after encounters, journeys and a life shared with others. The memory of someone’s presence, the atmosphere of a place, small events that grow in significance over time. In my work, memory meets imagination, and the everyday becomes the beginning of a story.

My paintings begin with stories.

02 / THE STORY OF A PAINTING

Before the
painting.

The green armchair travelled between the homes of Wrocław artists. I helped carry it when it was first bought. A few years later, I painted it together with my muse.

PRAGUE / EYE TO EYE

A portrait
from Prague.

An apartment overlooking the rooftops, a wooden wardrobe and an enormous bed. This portrait of my muse is connected with our stay in Prague and our search for its bohemian scene, antiques and art.

I fitted an LED into one painting. I painted another on a panel from old furniture. I begin making a work with my own signs — something between a signature and a spell.

Painting is part of what I do. See how I connect it with film, technology and working with people.
